When you need this visit
A urinary (Foley) catheter drains urine for patients who cannot pass urine on their own or are bedridden. It must be inserted and changed with a sterile technique to avoid infection. Our nurse does this at home, without a hospital visit.

- The catheter is blocked, leaking or has come out
- The doctor has advised catheterization for urine retention
- The catheter needs to be removed as advised
What happens during the visit

- PrepareHands washed, sterile gloves and a sterile kit used.
- InsertCatheter placed, balloon filled and urine bag connected.
- TeachFamily shown how to empty the bag and keep the catheter clean.
