When you need this visit
A Ryle’s tube (nasogastric tube) carries liquid food and medicines to the stomach when a patient cannot swallow safely. It needs changing from time to time, or replacing if it blocks or comes out. Our nurse does this at home, so the patient does not have to travel to hospital.
